The hotkey features built into ShellToys also allow you to assign global hotkeys for controlling windows from the keyboard:

Minimize: use a keyboard shortcut to minimize a window rather than clicking its Minimize button or taskbar button

Maximize/Restore: assign a hotkey to toggle a window between maximized and restored states

Transparency: in Windows 2000/XP/Server 2003/Vista you can set up a hotkey to toggle window transparency on and off, and choose the transparency level to use.
