Although ShellToys offers a more flexible alternative to the 'New' submenu, it may not be to everyone's taste. In case you prefer to battle on with Windows' own templates system, we've included options that let you remove items that appear on the New menu, and make it easy to add new templates.

• To remove a New menu item, just remove its checkmark

• If you want to edit an existing template, select it and click the Locate button to open the folder containing the template file

• To add a new template to the menu, either click the Add Template button and select the file to use as a template, or click Add Nullfile and type the file extension for which an empty template will be created
