Do you ever wish you could hide some of the files in the folder you're working with, so that only files with particular extensions were visible? That's what Mask By Type does. Select and right-click one or more files, choose Mask By Type, and you'll see the window shown in the screenshot. It behaves exactly like an ordinary folder window, letting you use drag-and-drop, cut/copy/paste, context menus, and so on, but only the files you choose are displayed.

You can display a folder tree to browse to other folders, and type new file-masks to change the view. For example, enter *.htm;*.asp to view only files with those extensions, or *bar*.* to see only files whose names contain the letters 'bar'.
