Hotkeys

In Windows you can rename a file by pressing F2 rather than right-clicking it and choosing 'Rename'. If you prefer to work from the keyboard, you can put your favorite shell extensions a quick key-press away whenever you need them. For example:
  • Create a new folder by pressing Ctrl+F
  • Copy paths to the clipboard using Ctrl+Shift+C
  • Open a command prompt window with Win+C
  • View or change a file extension using Ctrl+E
  • Open a file in Notepad by pressing Ctrl+N
These are just examples, of course – the key combinations you choose are up to you. You can assign, change and remove hotkeys from the ShellToys Control Panel at any time. You can also choose whether or not these hotkeys should be displayed on the context menu.
