This powerful file encryption shell extension encrypts one or more files using the ultra-strong 448-bit Blowfish block cipher, combined with a private password of up to 56 characters. Just select one or more files, right-click and choose Encrypt File, and enter a password.

The encrypted file is created in the same folder as the original, and with the same name as the original (including extension), plus an .ste extension, so you can see the original file's full name at a glance. The icon shows you that the file has been encrypted by ShellToys.

As an alternative, you can generate a self-decrypting EXE file, allowing you to distribute encrypted files to non-ShellToys users.

To decrypt a single file, just double-click it. (To decrypt multiple files that were encrypted using the same password, select them, right-click and choose Decrypt Files). Enter the correct password, and the original files will be decrypted into the same folder.
