Here's how to shave a valuable 3½ seconds off your working week – open and close CD and DVD drives from the desktop rather than pushing the drive's eject button!

Just create shortcuts to the included eject.exe utility on your desktop or Start menu. For example:

eject.exe D

to open drive D, or

eject.exe D close

to close drive D.

For extra speed, assign keyboard hotkeys to these shortcuts, such as F7 to open and F8 to close.
