Create Virtual Drive

A 'virtual drive' is a folder mapped to an available drive letter. Creating a virtual drive for a frequently-used folder gives you quick access to the folder's contents from My Computer, Windows Explorer, and file open/save dialogs.

For example, if you have a folder named C:\My Documents\Letters\2004\Business, you could map this to drive R:. An icon for drive R: will appear alongside your 'real' drives, and selecting that drive will open your 'Business' folder. (You can still access the folder in the usual way when you want to, and removing the virtual drive doesn't remove or alter the associated folder.)

To create a virtual drive, just right-click a folder, choose Create Virtual Drive and select a drive letter. ShellToys will automatically recreate the same drive each time Windows starts. To remove the drive, just right-click its icon and choose Remove Virtual Drive.
