Cascade On Start Menu

Are you forever hunting through My Computer looking for the same often-used folder? If so, you could make a shortcut to that folder, but here's a better idea: recreate the folder on your Start menu!

Right-click the folder or drive and choose Cascade On Start Menu, and you'll see the dialog in the screenshot to the right. Pick a name to appear on the Start menu, and click OK.

The result: the contents of the folder or drive will be "cascaded" on the Start menu putting your most-used files within easy reach. This shell extension uses a 'folder shortcut' – a special type of shortcut available in Windows Me/2000 and later. Windows updates the submenus of this item dynamically each time you use it, giving an alternate view of your files right on the Start menu.

(This extension cannot be used in Windows 98; sorry.)
