Browse Media

ShellToys includes a fast, easy media browser, supporting images, movies and audio files/CDs, and packed with useful features. Right-click a folder (or the background of an open folder) and choose the Browse Media shell extension, and you'll see thumbnail shots of all the images or video files in the folder or a list of audio tracks.

Media Browser has three modes: Images, Movies and Audio. Switch between modes using buttons on the toolbar or keyboard hotkeys. The status bar indicates how many files of each media type are contained in the current folder. The Folders panel at the left makes it easy to switch between folders.

Images: Thumbnails of all supported images in the current folder are displayed. Click images or use the keyboard to move through the thumbnails displaying the images in the preview-panel or double-click an image to view it in a separate image-viewer window. The image-viewer window allows you to navigate using the left/right arrow keys or run an automatic full-screen slideshow. [Screenshot]

Movies: Thumbnails of supported movies are displayed. Hover over a thumbnail to see an animated preview of the movie. Click a movie to play it in the internal preview panel. [Screenshot]

Audio: All supported audio files in the current folder (or audio CD) are displayed in a list. Double-click a file to play it. [Screenshot]
